To the Dad’s

The most important job in the world.

Raising these little humans, that’s it. That is the single most important job you will ever have. It will also be the most emotionally rewarding. Don’t get me wrong, there are ups and downs, highs and lows, like sunshine and whirlwinds. This rollercoaster ride helps put everything else into perspective though. Like that deadline you need to meet at work, it doesn’t mean jack when your kid is in the hospital, perspective.

I never grew up around my Dad, so other than wishing my Mom a happy Father’s Day, this day didn’t really mean anything to me, until I became a Dad.

Today was a high. Seeing my giggling little girls face, when she gave me the gift she made, that was my sunshine, my happiness, what we live for.

This really is the most important job in the world, so make sure you put all of your awesomeness into it. Think it all through, plan, be spontaneous, smile, be happy, put all of your positivity into it. This is the legacy you will leave behind.

Dedicated to all the Single Moms, Grandparents, Foster Parents, Uncles or Aunts, that are raising kids on their own.
